Val Blavatnik

Val Blavatnik is Special Advisor to Access Technology Ventures. In this capacity, he has led investment initiatives in the global media and technology sectors and was instrumental in advancing Access’ investment in SpaceX. 

Val is also Special Advisor to the CEO at Warner Music Group (WMG). Previously, he served as Senior Director, Business Development of Warner Chappell Music, the global music publishing arm of WMG. From 2021-2023, he served on the investment team at LionTree, focused on the media and technology industries. Prior to that, he was a production executive at Eden Productions, a TV and film production company founded by Richard Plepler. From 2016-2019, Val worked in the music industry, primarily as an artist manager.

Val is a Board Director of the WMG/Blavatnik Family Foundation Social Justice Fund, which was founded in 2020 to support organizations working in historically underserved and marginalized communities. He joined the WMG Board of Directors in 2023.  

He received his BA from the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts and his MBA from Harvard Business School.
