March 12, 2024: The Board of Directors of Reshet 13 announced today the appointment of Emiliano Calemzuk as the channel’s CEO. Calemzuk (50) has over 25 years of experience in various senior management positions in the Media and Entertainment business in the US, Latin America and Europe. He has also been an entrepreneur and advisor, co-founding companies like Raze (now part of WBD Latin America); and advising companies like Time Inc; Sony Entertainment Ventures (India); and Israeli startup Deepdub. He serves as a Lead Independent Director at Mercadolibre (Nasdaq: MELI), the leading e-commerce and payments platform in Latin America.
Calemzuk’s television experience is on the channel’s side as well as production of scripted and unscripted content at Fox Entertainment Group globally.
On the TV production arena, Calemzuk served as CEO of Shine Group Americas in Los Angeles in 2010 where he managed hit shows including “The Office” (NBC), “Ugly Betty” (ABC, “The Biggest Loser” (NBC) and MasterChef (Fox). As president of Fox Television Studios in 2007, he led the company that produced hit series like “The Shield”, “Burn Notice”, and “The Americans” and led the studio into a turn-around that boosted its revenue to $400 million and into profitability.
On the networks side, Calemzuk served as President of Fox International Channels Europe in Rome during the launch of SKY Italia in 2002, where he also managed all the multi-channel operations in Spain, France, Germany, Turkey and Eastern Europe. Previously, he served as General Manager of Fox Kids Latin America in 1999.
Calemzuk, born in Argentina, graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with honors and speaks five languages. He relocated with his family from Los Angeles to Israel in 2019. In recent months, Calemzuk had joined the management of Reshet 13 as an advisor.
